Crank

I recently read two books - Crank & Glass - by Ellen Hopkins. I would recommend them. The first one I read in one night and the second one the same thing happened. I didn't even plan on it but once I started reading I could not put it down. It was crazy. Basically it's about this girl who's a good friend, good student, good daughter and then she stays with her dad for a summer, meets this guy who introduces her to the "monster" (meth) and thus begins the downward spiral of addiction and slavery to the drug. As you're reading, you almost feel like you're her because it's written like a diary in which she reveals her deepest thoughts and feelings which drive the addiction. I don't want to give away too much...but it's really eye-opening and honest and raw and based on a true story.
